Hohosh Family Farm
Welcome to Hohosh Family Farm! Four years ago, after Bob retired from the military, we made the move to Georgia with a dream: to build a homestead, grow our own food, and create a life centered around family, community, and connection to the land. What began as a dream of mushroom farming has grown into so much more. Today, Hohosh Family Farm specializes in locally grown culinary mushrooms, including Lion’s Mane, Chestnut, and Oyster varieties, while also creating unique mushroom products through Rä Mushroom Company. Our offerings include mushroom conserva, mushroom coffee and teas, tinctures, and dehydrated and powdered mushrooms. We have also expanded our family business to include Paws and Claws Pet Treats, creating delicious, specialty treats and cakes for dogs using quality, locally sourced ingredients. We love helping families celebrate their four-legged companions on birthdays, holidays, and every special occasion. Beyond mushrooms and pet treats, Hohosh Family Farm is also a place for creativity and connection. We offer plants, handcrafted candles, tie-dye creations, and other unique handmade goods. Education and supporting children have always been an important part of Shannon’s life. With more than 25 years of experience as a special education and Spanish teacher, Shannon also tutors children in math and reading. She holds a graduate certificate in Autism Education and is passionate about helping children and families thrive while supporting overall mental, social-emotional, and physical well-being. Bob and Shannon are also the founders of Decriminalize Nature of Augusta and the CSRA, reflecting their commitment to education, community, personal wellness, and creating opportunities for people to explore healthier and more connected ways of living. Our journey is still growing, just like our farm. We are grateful to call Georgia home and excited to share what we grow, make, teach, and believe in with our community. From our family and home
