What is COLLOIDAL SILVER? Zack Thompson explains it best: "A colloid is a particle that is so small it can fit inside a human cell. Colloidal silver refers to the electrical suspension of colloids of pure silver in water. What does it do? It strengthens the immune system, purges accumulated toxins and kills harmful parasites/bacteria/fungus in (and on) the body. What is it good for? In scientific studies, colloidal silver has been shown to kill 650 pathogens within 6 minutes of contact making it extremely broad spectrum in its application. Drink it, inhale it, rub it on to the skin, spray it around the house or give it animals. How should I take it? Sip it from the bottle or mix with water. Swish it around the mouth to kill bacteria before swallowing. Rub on to the skin or even use as an eye wash. How much should I take? 10-25ml per day should suffice for preventative measures. To beat illness, sip regularly throughout the day. A little and often is the best approach as unused silver will pass through the body in urine and sweat etc. Are there any side effects? Silver is harmless even at high doses and can be used safely alongside other medications. How does it work? Nobody can be sure at the present time. One of the more plausible scientific explanation so far is that colloidal silver disables the enzyme that allows oxygen to metabolise in the offending pathogen (it suffocates it). Our silver is sold by the quart. It comes in a clear glass mason jar, but should be stored in a dark, cool place to avoid oxidation. Suggested usage is 1-2 teaspoons per day to start, and increasing this as you would like in order to minimize potential illness. Sip small amounts throughout the day to fight active pathogens. Hi, I'm acquanda! I'm a radical Black feminist anthropologist and owner of Elodie Handmade Soap. I'm an avid traveler, former birth worker, sort of a microgreen gardener, wanna be master herbalist and a health junkie, who has always had a weakness for good, wholesome and organic body products. Elodie, (pronounced el-oh-dee), is an outgrowth of years of my work in the Mississippi Delta, where I researched breastfeeding among Black and African Americans on location, as well as the broader state and the country, along with my passion for health and healing and firm belief that having access to nourishing items that shield people from harmful chemicals and toxic substances is a facet of health sovereignty. I love making soap for the community. And it is SO exciting to me each time someone shows (and/or tells) me how Elodie soaps gave them relief from eczema, psoriasis, acne or other issue, or how they make their skin feel soft and nourished and that it just feels good. It doesn't get old. The shop has both plant and animal-based soaps and other body products, and they are made on-site in small batches using certified organic, grass fed, pasture raised, no-spray, NON-GMO, unrefined & whole ingredients. We also try and source as many of these as we can locally. We have not and will never use artificial colorants, scents or other such substances. EHS is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 11-6.
