Behind Bakes with Bailey is Ellissa Bailey, a 29-year-old analytical chemist with roots in Altus, Oklahoma, who grew up in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. When she moved to Oklahoma City in 2024, starting a homemade bakery was the last thing she imagined she'd be doing. But sometimes the sweetest journeys begin unexpectedly. For as long as she can remember, Ellissa has found joy in bringing people together through homemade meals and desserts. Whether baking for family gatherings, celebrating life's milestones, or simply sharing a sweet treat with friends, there was nothing more rewarding than seeing the smiles her creations had brought to the people she loves. What began as a favorite hobby soon grew into a heartfelt passion and a meaningful mission. Inspired by the recipes, traditions, and lessons passed down through generations, Ellissa created Bakes with Bailey to honor her family's legacy while sharing that same sense of comfort, connection, and joy with her community.
